Dead Batteries

Hmm . . . I stopped using my PalmPilot for probably a half year and the batteries discharged. I decided I take it to my interview tomorrow, just in case (I probably won't use it, but you never know). Anyway, I was surprised to discover that a Palm isn't using static memory, but rather state-dependent memory that depends on having some power - in other words the memory on my Palm was cleared.

Though now that I'm syncing it I'm realizing that the HotSync program creates a "Backup" directory in your user directory, so it looks as if my palm will be restored to it's previous state. That explains why they don't use static memory.
