Linux

So, my desktop is all fubar. I have to boot off a floppy to get into Windows, and I have no idea where my bootloader (grub) is reading it's conf files (or the kernel for that matter) from. I've edited /boot/grub/grub.conf several times (mainly just changing the title text) but it doesn't change when I boot. I've also recompiled my kernel a couple times, and switched to a new version, but it's still loading the old kernel - which I must say I have no idea where it is. I think I'm going to boot into windows, see what needs backing up, and then just format the windows driver and put gentoo on there.
