The power of Yelp . . .

I like yelp. It's a good example of user-generated content/Web2.0/social media/whatever you want to call it.

I went down to the Lincoln Lounge to grab some beer last night after bowing out of the ridiculous revelry for St. Patty's day. I'm enjoying my Hendricks and tonic, and a couple walks in, and we start chatting. Ends up they're from SF and the east bay, and I notice they're looking at yelp on their iPhone. I ask them about it, and they had gotten sick of the casino scene, and saw this place on yelp. The specifically mention the description of the black exterior.

Anyway, kind of interesting to see that people actually do read my reviews and end up going to places because of them . . .
