Reno's getting hit pretty hard by the California fires, or at least the smoke from them. Driving home tonight, it was like a dense fog, except it smelled like smoke. It's bad enough that the National Weather Service has a Sever Weather Alert out:
PERSONS...ESPECIALLY OLDER ADULTS AND CHILDREN...ACROSS NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND WESTERN NEVADA SHOULD AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THE SMOKE AND STAY INDOORS. MOTORISTS TRAVELING ALONG HIGHWAY 395 ESPECIALLY NORTH OF CARSON CITY...AND ALONG INTERSTATE 80 WEST OF FERNLEY ARE URGED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION AS LOW VISIBILITY FROM THE SMOKE MAY MAKE DRIVING HAZARDOUS.
Biggest issue for me is that smoke gives me a killer headache, as well as drives my allergies nuts. I love waking up in the middle of the night because I can't breathe!
