Teen Drinking, Extracurriculars, and Entitlement

I wrote about the underage drinking scandal in Helena a while ago. On May 10th, the IR ran an editorial about the verdict in the lawsuit.

The judge found that the gathering clause that the Helena schools has in place isn't written well enough to enforce, mainly because "in Montana, unlike in other states, a student’s right to participate in extracurricular activities has been raised to constitutional status."

It's nice to the see the IR editorial board take an anti-underage drinking stance, rather than the dominant attitude of "teens will be teens."
