buzzed, B&W

Grr . . . computer's are smarter than me :(

Man, why is my computer smarter than me? For those who don't know, I've been playing with Gentoo Linux, and run a home server that does such things as play music, store/share files, act as a web server, and a few other things. I've spent the last hour or so trying to get mlDonkey, a multi-network peer-to-peer client configured the way I want. I've had the remote web interface working for quite a while (months), but today I decided I wanted to get it so that it would work with torrents from my laptop (i.e. so when I click on a link on a torrent site, it would automatically forward it to the other computer and start the transfer). Mainly this was motivated by my desired to use Indie Torrents, but I failed.

We touched on politics a bit last night, and someone mentioned that the debates were making her waver more than before the debates. While I did watch the debate last night, I don't see it changing my opinion at all. I'm voting for the candidate who's views align more closely with mine, particularly with regards to civil rights (gay rights and abortion being the two biggest). Homeland security is a big issue for me as well, but both major candidates support it to a degree, Kerry less so than Bush.

Anyway, I'm going to go see Ensler's Vagina Monologues tonight for the first time. I'm looking forward to this. Speaking of Ensler, she was recently in Cincinnati . . . and I do think the red/pink theme of her V-Day site is atrocious.
