buzzed, B&W

Voluntarily United

So, I missed reading a couple days of A Year with C.S. Lewis, but today's entry talks about free choice, and how humans must have free choice to be both good and evil, because without the possibility of being evil, then it's impossible to have "any love or goodness or joy worth having." Seems reasonable enough to me. He concludes by saying that the utmost joy anyone can experience is the love been man and God, which "the most rapturous love between a man and a woman on this earth is mere milk and water." While I don't believe in a supreme being, I have a hard time believe that that relationship is the end all, be all of life. Can one live w/o knowing God?

Anyway, I'm at Nightsky again, and they have live music here. Course, it happens to be some woman singing contemporary Christian. Reasonably crowded, probably a little over 40 people in here. Mix of people having dinner, playing cards, playing connect four, reading, and listening to the music. My gunpowder tea has come with a crappy little tea cup though, rather than a nice mug.
