LiveJournal Coolness

I'm trying to learn more about LiveJournal so that I can figure out a way to list all users (for some reason directory.bml and directorysearch.bml don't seem to work). You do discover some cool features though while you browse through the code.

Meme Tracker is pretty slick (another cool community building/monitoring tool). While most of the current memes are silly quizes, I do like this one. You enter an LJ user name, and it analyzes their word choice using some research to guess their gender. This summary from the New York Times (registration required) is easy to read. (I don't know anyting about the PDF as I hate loading PDFs on this slow computer.) From the NYT summary, it seems to imply that men use more articles and numbers, while women tend to use "with" a lot. (This is a gross generalization from a summary of real research, so take it with a grain of salt.)

For those who are curious:

My journal says I'm 53% masculine.
