Comic book heros, Will Smith, and Penguins

I've watched three movies since I've been home. (Watching movies seems to be pretty standard behavior when I'm here.)

I watched the Fantastic Four, which was a surprisingly good adaptation. I also though Jessica Alba was an interesting choice for Sue, but she's nice eye candy I guess . . . I'm behind on seeing some comic book movies, as I still haven't seen Hulk or the Punisher.

I also watched Hitch. Cute movie that focuses on the idea of love persevering. It's silly romantic, with quotes such as Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. One of the premises of the movie is that the first kiss is critical, that a woman knows after that first kiss where the relationship is going. I don't really believe in that, but it does echo the sentiment I heard from a female friend who swears off of gut feelings. Weird.

Lastly, I watched March of the Penguins. I really got into this, even taking notes while watching it. I'll write more about it later as I'm off to have Indian food . . . yea!
