Odd

So, for some reason I couldn't sleep this morning, even though I went to bed around 2 or 2:30 in the morning, I got up at 6 tossed and turned till 6:30 or so, and then gave up. I decided since it was so early, I might as well hike up Mt. Helena and catch the sunrise. I took it easy, and hiked to the top, hung out there for a little enjoying the beautiful pastel colors (the clouds were amazing this morning), and then got back down. Surprisingly there were probably around 10 cars in the parking lot when I got down the mountain (around 8:00), compared to the one (mine) when I had got there before 7. Afterwards, I swung by the grocery, got a mixed fruit bowl and some orange juice, and came home to enjoy my breakfast.

So, why couldn't I sleep? Pent up sexual energy? My body is so conditioned to alcohol that I can't sleep w/o it on the weekends? Lack of hair (oh yeah, I buzzed my hair last night)? Who knows . . .

Speaking of lack of alcohol, last night was interesting. I pretty much did my regular Friday routine - went to the Gold Bar at 5:00, hung out for a bit, grabbed some dinner, and then went out, this time to Miller's. The evening was different since I wasn't drinking. Part of me feels like I was more astute last night, and noticed a lot more, not because I wasn't under the influence, but because I didn't have anything else to do. I think I did a lot more people watching, more dancing, and more observing, that I usually do, rather than being a participant in the revelry. I'm not sure if that's because of the lack of alcohol, or just my mood last night . . . I guess we'll see . . .

And at least I'm starting to get tired again . . . I think I'll read a bit and be asleep soon . . . yea!

Edit: Pictures from the sunrise are here . . .
