Stupid SAMBA
buzzed, B&W
Man, I can't get SAMBA to work right with my VFAT partition . . . I keep reading about how I have to set either the UID or the GID so that hte VFAT can be read/write for users besides root (since VFAT doesn't support SUIDs), but even though I've set my fstab and umounted/mounted the drive, I still get SAMBA errors about permissions denied. Part of me thinks I should keep plugging away trying to fix it, the other part thinks I should just copy the files I want to my other drive, and just reformat the drive as ReiserFS.

On a related note, anyone have any idea how I can set a share to RW in SAMBA without setting the mount point to RWX for all?
