Bald eagle
buzzed, B&W
hairylunch
I saw a bald eagle today. It was about 20 feet away from me while I was driving down the road. I didn't realize they lived in MT. It was surprising, and I wish I had gotten a picture of it. It was just sitting on a fence, looking around.

Anyway, I did take some other pictures today, mainly of the frozen lakes along the drive back . . .

Let's move on...seriously

(Anonymous)
Not that I don't get off on bald eagle sightings (who doesn't?), but let's keep things fresh here, Ernie. Trust me, we've all busted our collective nut over the majestic symbol of our nation. This post is as stale as your morning breath. Clearly, you may be pausing so that your readers can fully absorb what you've posted, to underscore the significance of your post. Maybe it's symbolism or allusion or ontomontopeia for christ's sake, but whatever it is, let's move on... Seriously.

hello...sorry to bother you but I'm looking for cities I might move to and I wondered if you could tell me your impression of Helena. I'd appreciate it. Are the winters as brutal as most say?

Wow, I forgot about this . . . I meant to respond, but it just slipped my mind.

Anyway, I've only been in Helena since the end of July, so only one winter here, and it was a very mild winter. We had one cold week, where it was around -10 F, but besides that, not much snow or anything else, much to my disappointment.

I'm originally from the midwest, and people talk about a dry cold, and it really isn't bad.

As for Helena, I like the city. It's a bit on the small side, but it has lots of options, a decent amount of culture, and I can walk or bike most places. It's nice.
